Project Update: 1-2-24
S. Presa Street (Southeast Military Drive to Southcross Boulevard) 
Beginning on Monday, January 15, 2024, through Friday, February 9, 2024, between 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., the contractor will have alternating and varying single lane closures along S Presa between the intersections of Avondale Ave and Stratford Ct for utility work. To facilitate traffic, one lane will be open to traffic with flaggers on-site to alternate and coordinate through traffic. Detour routes will not be required. Businesses and residents will have driveway and sidewalk accessibility. This work is associated with the $5.0 Million, 2017 Bond Project. Public Works will continue to communicate any changes or updates to Council District 3 and Council staff, surrounding businesses and residents. Public Works will send e-blasts notifications to Council District 3 and Council Staff, VIA Metropolitan, and all area residents and stakeholders on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Project construction began in September 2022 and is anticipated to be substantially complete by March 2024. Project Update: 11-15-23

South Presa Street (Southeast Military Drive to Southcross Boulevard)

Beginning on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, through Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the contractor, will close Hot Wells Blvd at South Presa for on-going utility work. To facilitate, motorists will be detoured along Groos St and Montrose back to South Presa. Two-way (north/south) traffic will be maintained on S Presa St through the intersection during this work and all businesses and residents will have driveway and sidewalk accessibility. This work is associated with the $5.0 Million, 2017 Bond Project. Public Works will continue to communicate any changes or updates to Council District 3 and Council staff, surrounding businesses and residents. Public Works will send e-blasts notifications to Council District 3 and Council Staff, VIA Metropolitan, and all area residents and stakeholders on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Project construction began in September 2022 and is anticipated to be substantially complete by March 2024. For ease of reference, below is a map of the closures and traffic control plan.
