Construction Updates: October 30, 2024

• Current Work: 
  • ​ The contractor continues construction activities on Wurzbach Rd, including new curbs, sidewalks, driveway approaches, asphalt roadway and topsoil in Phase 1 Wurzbach Rd ( IH10 to Bluemel) and Phase 2 Wurzbach Rd ( Fredericksburg Rd to 8647 Wurzbach Rd).
• Planned Work: 
  • ​The contractor will begin night work for Phase 3 on Wurzbach Rd at Dean Pannill Dr ( Wurzbach Manor Apartments) to Parkdale Dr on November 4, 2024 from 8PM to 7AM. The contractor will begin work for Phase 4 on Wurzbach Rd at Bluemel Rd ( Wendy's) to Datapoint Dr ( Taco Bell) on November 4, 2024 from 9AM to 4PM. 
• Special Notes:
  •   There will be lane closures in the area during construction hours. Businesses and their parking lots will remain accessible. There will be intermittent sidewalk closures.
• No parking on Street from 8PM to 7AM
• No parking any time between Bluemel Rd and Fredericksburg Rd.
• Vehicles in the path of the project may be towed to nearby street.
• Work is 7 days a week.
• Hours of Construction:
  • DAYTIME- 9AM to 4PM (Phase 4)
  • NIGHT TIME- 8PM to 6AM (Phase 1,2,3) 
• Project Scope:
  • ​ Project scope is to improve pedestrian amenities along Wurzbach Road from I-10 to Fredericksburg Road. Improvements include wider sidewalks, improved ADA accessibility, and better access to bus stops as well as utility adjustments.
