Market & South Alamo Intersection – Lane Closures for Utility Potholes
Beginning as early as Monday 4.1.24 thru Friday 4.5.24, Contractor Sundt Construction is planning lane closures at the Market & South Alamo Intersection. The lane closures are necessary to begin potholing for the utility tie-ins. We anticipate daily lane closures opening back up at the end of each work day. Eastbound traffic will be allowed to take right and left turns onto South Alamo, and continue eastbound with a minimum of one traffic lane opened for through traffic. Pedestrian access will be maintained at the intersection, and business access continues to be provided. All work is weather permitting. Please see the map provided.

South Alamo One-Way Southbound Traffic
Contractor (Sundt Construction) will convert South Alamo from Market Street to Cesar Chavez to one single southbound traffic lane, starting as early as March 18, 2024 through the completion of the project. This traffic configuration is necessary to provide the contractor full access for the installation of utilities and associated roadway reconstruction work. Please see the map provided for available detour routes. We appreciate your patience as work continues.
Closure of NW Quadrant of Nueva & South Alamo Intersection
Contractor (Sundt Construction) will be closing the NW Quadrant of Nueva & South Alamo Intersection as early as March 18, 2024 to install chilled water and make a tie-in. Nueva will be accessible to two-way traffic off Presa Street and will allow eastbound traffic to take a right turn onto South Alamo. No right turn onto Nueva will be permitted off of South Alamo. Please slowdown in this area while work is underway. We appreciate your patience. Please see the detour map provided.
