Project Update:
Update: South Alamo and East Nueva Street - Intersection Closure
The east half of the E. Nueva Street and S. Alamo intersection will be closed for construction of drainage improvements. The closure started December 16, 2024 and is anticipated to be completed by Spring Break, the week of March 10, 2025. There will be access to Magik Theatre and the Hemisfair Park from Hemisfair Blvd and E. Nueva Street. This closure will not impact the western half of the intersection, and there will continue to be two open lanes on Nueva heading west to S. Presa. The closure will have an impact in the area, but detour and alternate routes will allow for access to businesses in the area. All construction areas will be marked by barricades and road closure signs. Detours around the road closure will be clearly marked and posted and be in effect for the duration of the closure. All work is weather permitting. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please see the map and detour route provided for more information. We appreciate your patience.
