2022-2027 Bond Project: Sidney Brooks Drive (City Base Landing to South New Braunfels)
The Bond Project will construct area roadway improvements to include sidewalks, curbs, driveway approaches, bicycle facilities, drainage, traffic improvements, and other improvements as applicable and within available funding. This is a multi-phased project.

What you need to know:
- EZ-Bel Contractors will start construction work on Sidney Brooks (City Base Landing to S. New Braunfels) as early as Monday, March 23, 2026, thru Summer 2027.
- Work will include a 4-lane concrete roadway, turn lanes, shared-use path, 6-ft sidewalk, curbs, driveway approaches, drainage improvements, traffic signal improvements, mid-block crossing, street and pedestrian lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and utility improvements.
- The construction work zone will be on the south side of Sidney Brooks (City Base Landing to S. New Braunfels). To complete this work the eastbound traffic lane will be closed. To facilitate traffic one westbound traffic lane will be opened.
- Detour routes are provided on S. New Braunfels to Research Plaza to City Base Landing. Please see map provided.
