The Transportation Department is making an assessment of the bike lanes located around Woodlawn Lake.
The bike lane assessment is designed to:
- Study possible improvements to the bike lanes
- Examine Right-of-Way concerns
- Consider more comfortable and safe bike infrastructure
- Provide for safer streets around the lake for all road users

Woodlawn Lake Bike Path Public Meeting
Join us for our second community meeting regarding possible improvements to the bike lanes around Woodlawn Lake. Spanish presentation will take place at 6:30 PM.
Background
Bike lanes have always existed at Woodlawn Lake, and in 2011 the previous Bike Plan called for a path that would "loop" the lake. The growing popularity of the lake has led to congestion along the lake's beautiful pathways. An effort is underway to design a system of bike lanes that will bring a more comfortable and safe ride to those cyclists who visit, while relieving pressure on pedestrian and vehicular spaces.
