2017-2022 Bond Project: Enrique M. Barrera Parkway Phase 1 (Old Highway 90 Area)
The Bond Project will improve the Enrique M. Barrera Parkway corridor with street, drainage and sidewalk improvements as appropriate and within available funding.
This Bond Project is the first phase of a multiphase plan to improve the street, drainage and sidewalks along the Old Highway 90 area of Enrique M. Barrera Parkway. Phase 1 improvements will include a mill and overlay with curbs, new sidewalks, storm drainage and traffic signal upgrades between State Highway 151 to 36th Street. The additive alternate included as part of this contract will provide for new underground storm sewer, water and gas utilities.

- Milled asphalt to new elevations on the south side of roadway
- Final Asphalt placed on the south side of the roadway
- Asphalt placed behind sidewalk
- Z crossing median west of 39th St.
PLANNED UPCOMING ACTIVITIES:
- Mill asphalt to new elevation on the north side of roadway
- Place final asphalt and Concrete on the north side of the roadway and behind sidewalk
- Pedestrian signal work at 36th St.
- Project completion late January/mid Feruary 2024
