PROJECT UPDATE:
Construction Update, December 10, 2024 - Sonterra Road Extension (Sonterra Road to Loop 1604) Phase 1 with concurrent work on Phase 2 and 3
Construction began on Monday, August 5 on a project to add lanes, curbs and a raised center median with lighting. Upon completion of the project there will also be shared-use paths for pedestrians, utility adjustments and drainage improvements. Work continues at the Eastern-most point of Sonterra Road, near the North West corner of the Community Bible Church.
- Construction ongoing for Phase I on East Sonterra Road, where it ends just before the Community Bible Church driveway.
- Current Phase I Work: First layer of asphalt completed and flatwork has begun.
- Contractor complete with installation of the storm sewer system.
- Contractor complete with SAWS water line relocation and tie-in.
- Current Phase II and III Work: Roadway grading and site preparation is ongoing. Work on Phase II & III is underway for schedule recovery.
- Northern Community Bible Church driveway continues to be closed during Phase I construction and is projected to open by the end of the year.
- The Gold Canyon Driveway remains open.
