The City of San Antonio's Department of Arts and Culture are happy to announce the appointment of the 2024 - 2027 San Antonio Poet Laureate, Mr. Eduardo "Eddie" Vega. Known as the "Taco-Poet", Eddie has become the spokesman for our most ancient of food traditions, showing us the infinite beauty of the everyday, the powerful brilliance of abuela’s cooking, shared joyously with our urban collective for centuries. He is an educator, mentor, and example, leading students down the path of poetry.
