The City of San Antonio's Public Works Department will construct general park improvements within available funding in support of the Park's Master Plan, which may include basketball court shade and a skate park at Benavides Park.

Project Limits: 

 

Public Works, Parks & Recreation, and City Council District 5 are excited to announce the ongoing construction on the improvements to Benavides Park, made possible by the 2022-2027 Bond Program.

Project Timeline: Spring 2025 - Fall 2025

The project introduces a new skate plaza with related walkways, new lighting, planting and irrigation for approximately forty (40) trees.

Site Closures: 
Will include temporary closures to the proposed skate plaza area for the duration of the work.
