What You Need to Know:

E-Z Bel Construction continues to make steady progress on the Covel Road project. 

Traffic Impacts:

• Covel Road will remain closed from Hercules Point (west of Ray Ellison Boulevard) to Patrol Road through Fall 2026.
• Hercules Point residents should use Loop 410 to access their neighborhood.
• Waste Management and other service vehicles must enter the area from Old Pearsall Road only.
• Watch for rough-road and reduced-speed signs as needed. Please follow posted detours and barricades, and use caution near the work zone.

What We Are Doing:

• Preparing concrete pavement and making overall roadway improvements.
• Preparing the ground foundation and cleaning up the roadsides.
• Adjusting CPS Energy gas lines to accommodate the new roadway design.
