Santa Rosa Ave Bike Connection
The San Antonio Transportation Department will be installing protected bike lanes along S. Santa Rosa Ave between César Chávez Blvd. and El Paso Street. The protected bike facilities will consist of concrete barriers between the bike lanes and the automobile travel lanes and will:
- Create a safer experience for cyclists along the street
- Connect to existing bike lanes in the 2017 Zona Cultural Bond Project
- Integrate into the City's Bike Network Plan (BNP)
- Provide a safer street for all road users
Construction Starts: January 15, 2024
Estimated Completion: March 2024 (weather permitting)
