The San Antonio Farmers Market Plaza Association and Jacob Dominguez, also known as ‘The Caribbean Lobster Guy’, are teaming up to bring the San Antonio Lobster Fest End of Summer Bash to Historic Market Square. The two-day event features delicious and affordable lobster entrees and live music.

The Pass at Market Square

The Pass at Market Square

Open daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., FREE

The Pass at Market Square is a recreation area located at the IH-35 elevated highway underpass between Dolorosa and Commerce streets. It features a family-friendly recreation area that includes a basketball court, ping pong tables, swing chairs and tables, murals, and more. The Pass is free and open to the public daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Paid parking is available nearby in the Market Square Lot, 612 W. Commerce St. Guests can reserve sports equipment by contacting the Market Square Team at 210-207-8600.

La Villita Market Days transforms Maverick Plaza into a vibrant, open-air marketplace featuring local artisans, craftspeople, and food vendors. Movies by Moonlight continues this summer at Travis Park! This FREE outdoor, family friendly event features a movie, food trucks and kids’ activities on Tuesdays in July. Enjoy free parking after 5 p.m. at City operated garages, lots, and meters as part of Downtown Tuesday (nearby parking is available in the St. Mary’s Garage, 205 E. Travis St.). Leashed pets, lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks are welcome.

San Antonio’s Fourth of July celebrations are bigger and brighter than ever this year, highlighted with the inaugural roll out of festive San Antonio Stars & Stripes on Houston Street, a collaborative effort between the City of San Antonio, Centro San Antonio, the Alamo and Visit San Antonio. Featured events include:

  • Tuesday, July 2, 8:45 p.m.: Movies by Moonlight “The Sandlot” at Travis Park, FREE
  • Thursday, July 4, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Parade on Houston Street, FREE
  • Thursday, July 4, 5-8 p.m.: Picnic Under the Stars at the Majestic Theatre, ticketed event
  • July 4-7, 8 p.m.: Salute at Sunset River Parade on the River Walk, FREE

2nd Floor: Permanencia Voluntaria by Guest Artist: Efedefroy (Froy Padilla Aragón) 
On the second floor is an exhibition by artist Efedefroy (Froy Padilla Aragón), from Oaxaca, Mexico, titled Permanencia Voluntaria.

City Tower Sundays offers free parking on Sundays from 7 a.m. to midnight at the City Tower Garage located at 60 N. Flores St. Entrances to the garage are on Main Street and Flores Street.
