Spurs Anniversary Game Free Parking
The City of San Antonio offers free parking in the City Tower Garage at 117 W. Commerce and St. Mary's Garage at 205 E. Travis for fans attending the Spurs game on Friday, January 13th! Offer applies to game ticket holders who arrive at these garages between 3–6 pm on January 13th only. (Must show ticket).
Plan Ahead for Heavy Traffic
If you live or work downtown, plan for the Friday, January 13th, record crowd attending the Spurs anniversary game at the Alamodome. There will be heavy congestion downtown, especially near the Alamodome and I-37/281. Please take alternate routes as possible. Doors open at 4:30 pm, and the game begins at 6:30 pm. If you plan to attend the game, consider taking public transportation, ride-share, bike, walk, or consult a navigation & traffic app before leaving.

| 36th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

The City of San Antonio, in partnership with District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez and the San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission chaired by Dwayne Robinson, is inviting the community to participate in the largest march in the nation. The 36th Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Celebration will occur in person on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at 10 am.
This year's theme, "Together We Can Be THE Dream," was created by Shaunda Hopkins Lohse and chosen by the MLK Jr. Commission as the theme for 2023.
The 2023 celebration will begin with the in-person march kickoff at 10 am at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, 3501 Martin Luther King Drive, and ends at Pittman-Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa St., followed by the park celebration at Pittman-Sullivan Park.
The park celebration will include a main stage with multicultural performances, a health and wellness area, a youth area, food and merchandise vendors, and information booths. Learn More.

Step back in time to celebrate our historic Texas roots and kick-off the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo! The parade route runs through historic Houston Street and features participants who represent the heritage of our Lone Star State and the Old West. Fort Hood 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Sam Houston Caisson, Texas Heritage Riders and of course, a herd of Texas Longhorns are just some of the snapshots that celebrate the legacy of our great State.
9:30 AM - Rodeo Wrangler Breakfast on Santa Rosa St (between Houston and Commerce St). Come check out the fun kid's games, family activities and chuck wagon biscuits and gravy!
