Vendor Development Academy Information Sessions
The Vendor Development Academy is a structured program designed to equip vendors with the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to successfully do business with the City and its partners. Through a comprehensive curriculum, participants gain insight into procurement processes, contract opportunities, and the skills required to compete and grow as a certified vendor.
The program covers a full schedule of training sessions, eligibility requirements, and application guidance — including how to craft a strong executive summary. Participants also have the opportunity to connect with experienced mentors and engage directly with City and Alamo Colleges staff throughout the program.
Information Sessions
Prospective applicants are invited to attend an upcoming information session to learn about program goals, the curriculum, key deadlines, and how to apply.
Virtual Session — May 18, 2026 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM via Webex
In-Person Session — June 16, 2026 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at LaunchSA, 600 Soledad St. – 1st Floor. (located inside Central Library); Free 3-hour parking with ticket validation
Sessions include an overview of the program, introductions from City and Alamo Colleges staff, a Q&A segment, and information on how to become a mentor.
