Department of Arts & Culture: Wurzbach and I-10 Public Art

Artwork created through the City's Public Art Process must first go through SASpeakUp community engagement to determine the artwork's theme and other important design aspects. The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture has identified Wurzbach & I10 Underpass as an opportunity for a public artwork project. This project is funded through the 1.5% for Public Art as part of the 2022-2027 Bond. Wurzbach Parkway was recently named as the Silk Road Cultural District due to its variety of Mediterranean, North African, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian markets and restaurants as well as its dense population of resettled refugees from the Middle East and South Asia. We need your input on important design features of the artwork you’d like to see in this area.| El Departamento de Arte y Cultura de la Ciudad de San Antonio ha identificado el paso a desnivel de Wurzbach e I10 como una oportunidad para un proyecto de arte público.
