J3 Company is making progress on the Military Drive expansion! Here is the latest construction and traffic update for the area between Reed Road and Sequoia Heights.

 

Upcoming Work

  • Reed Road: Contractor is completing final sidewalk and curb work in preparation for the road to reopen soon.

Traffic & Safety Updates

The following traffic configurations will take effect as early as May 29, 2026:

  • Reed Road Closure: Reed Road remains closed through May. Please follow the posted detour.
  • Pedestrian Access: North sidewalks remain closed. Clear pedestrian detours are marked.
  • Subdivision Entrances: Expect a single lane closure at each entrance to The Terraces at the Reserve; Richland Hills, and Sequoia Heights. Two-way access to these subdivisions will be maintained at all times.
  • Military Drive: Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

Overall Project Information

  • This project will construct roadway improvements to include sidewalks, curbs, driveway approaches, underground drainage, bicycle facilities, and traffic lights.

 

Project Updates

 

  • Reed Rd. to Richland Hills: Crews are adding two westbound lanes and a left-turn lane. New underground drainage pipes and inlet boxes are complete.
  • Richland Hills to Sequoia Heights: Excavation has begun for the next phase of underground drainage.
