San Antonio Public Library Board of Trustees

The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) Board of Trustees is responsible for the management, care, control, and maintenance of all Library System Properties, and has the authority to appoint and remove the Library Director, subject to the Civil Service provisions of the City Charter. The board is composed of 11 members: 10 district appointed members appointed by their respective Councilmembers and one member appointed by the Mayor. Members serve overlapping two-year terms of office.

The San Antonio Public Library Board of Trustees meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. The Library Board of Trustees does not meet in November and meets the first Wednesday in December. Meeting locations are identified in September for the fiscal year.
