Climate Ready Neighborhoods: Community Resilience Fair
UPDATE 1/17/2025:
Climate Ready Neighborhoods: Cold Weather Response Series
Due to the cold front expected throughout next week, we are transitioning our in-person Community Resilience Fair to a Digital Resource Sharing Series. Instead of gathering in person, we encourage attendees and community members to take action by supporting the Neighborhood PODs and organizations actively responding to the challenges of climate disruption.
Throughout the series, we’ll roll out a variety of cold weather response resources and aid requests, including ways you can directly support PODs in their efforts to assist neighbors during this critical time.
This change reflects our commitment to building climate resilience in real time by empowering communities to act when it matters most.

People and relationships are the heart of our communities. And building connected community relationships is the driving force for increasing community resilience and climate readiness. But how? This is often much easier said than done.

The Resilient Communications workbook will help your neighborhood team create an accessible, community-led Communications Plan to build relationships and communicate 1) Within your community 2) With the broader Climate Ready Neighborhoods network 3) In everyday, disruption & recovery 4) Prioritizing accessible information.
Bring as many people from your neighborhood team as possible to walk-through creating your communications plan and action steps.

Climate Ready Neighborhoods Network Meeting
Join us October 29 for the next Network Meeting of Climate Ready Neighborhoods. Our Theme is: Sharing our Learning
Climate Ready Neighborhoods is a network of community partners linking climate-resilience information, trainings, resources, and funding through a network of trusted community groups and spaces called Neighborhood PODs. The strength is a connected network learning from one another! This month we will focus on getting to know one another as Neighborhood PODs and supporting Resource Partners. In a discussion oriented workshop, we’ll be sharing stories, challenges and next steps with one another.
A key part of CRN are the Microgrants which offer an opportunity for us to experiment and share these learnings back with the network. We’ll be rolling out the Storytelling Slide Deck — A template for sharing the results and learnings of microgrants and also the Resource Library, a digital library filled with the ever-growing climate readiness information for Neighborhood PODs to share with the community.
