Free City Parking for  Fans Attending UTSA Championship Game

The City of San Antonio is offering free parking in City-owned parking facilities from 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 until 2 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. Free parking is not available in the Alamodome lots, and this offer only applies to City-owned parking facilities.

Participating City parking facilities include:

  • Convention Center Garage, 41 S. Bowie St.
  • Houston Street Garage, 111 College St.
  • St. Mary’s Garage, 205 E. Travis St.
  • City Tower Garage, 117 W. Commerce St.
  • Central Library Garage, 600 Soledad
  • Martinez Parking Lot, S. Alamo & Martinez St. and at Cesar Chavez & S. Presa St.
  • Alamo Lot, 418 S. Alamo
  • Houston/Nolan Lot, Houston at Elm, parking lot is under I-37
  • Market Square Lot, 612 W. Commerce
  • I-35 Lots, between Commerce & Martin
  • I-37 Lots, between 10th & Austin St.

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

December 3-4; 7am

The City of San Antonio is excited to welcome back the Certified Piedmontese Beef Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Running Series along a new course through Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston (JBSA-Fort Sam Houston). MS Blessing Animals

Blessing of the Animals at Market Square

December 3; 10am-6pm

Historic Market Square will host a fun-filled day with food vendors, artisans, and live music. As part of the Blessing of the Animals celebration, a non-denominational blessing of the animals will be held on the outside stage on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Following the blessing, guests may enjoy balloon animals, kids’ activities, and an animal meet-and-greet. Art For All/Arte Para Todos POP-UP MARKET

Join the Department of Arts & Culture for our first Arte Para Todos/Art For All Pop Up Mercado on Saturday, December 17th from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Centro de Artes Gallery (located in Historic Market Square). Curated by San Antonio collaborative artist team Manola and Maria Ramirez. Vendors will be selling their artworks including limited edition prints, ceramics, hand crafted products and other holiday gifts. Free admission! Also, stop to take a pic with our new selfie station then tour the Centro de Artes Gallery.

Holiday Lights Run

Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and join OHP and Fleet Feet for a social, supported run to inspire cheer and help you get in the spirit of the holidays. The supported run starts in historic Travis Park and will take you 3 miles through downtown San Antonio to visit some of the best decorated historic landmarks.

The first 100 to register through the link will get a commemorative mug. All registrants will receive a hot chocolate after the run and a coupon from Fleet Feet San Antonio. A portion of the proceeds will go to preservation efforts in San Antonio. This year, Santa will also be attending, make sure you have your list ready when you take your picture with him!

Rico's River Rally

The San Antonio River Walk plays host to college football’s most unique pep rally. While the head coaches, team captains, and cheerleaders take part in a spirited pep rally at the Arneson River Theatre on the River Walk, the school bands and the rest of the players excite the crowd by making a grand entrance on river cruisers.
