Since 1968, St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated on the River Walk. Join Visit San Antonio – River Walk Operations and The Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas for a fun filled weekend festival along the River Walk and at La Villita. The weekend festivities will include dyeing the river green with eco-friendly dye, an artisan show, live entertainment, and more! For more information and a full event schedule, click here.

Centro de Artes is now open, and featuring the works of New York Foundation for the Arts Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program Exhibition - Round 2. The exhibit (on view to July 3, 2022) features works by 34 immigrant and first-generation artists in San Antonio representing 12 countries. Learn more and make plans to visit the gallery.

New Paleta-Inspired Sculpture on Display at Historic Market Square

 

The steps of Centro de Artes Gallery, in Historic Market Square, now feature a large purple and blue hued paleta sculpture titled Sabor del Mercado by San Antonio Artist David Blancas. The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture unveiled the artwork for all to enjoy just in time for Spring Break and warmer temperatures.

Please remember that free parking is suspended at the Houston Street & St. Mary’s Garage on Majestic Theatre Performance Nights.

Siesta Fiesta

Downtown Tuesday is Taking a Siesta

 

During Fiesta, the City’s Downtown Tuesday program will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday, April 5, for a Fiesta “siesta.” Event parking rates will apply at all City-operated lots and garages. Regular meter rates will also be in effect. Special event and parade attendees are advised that street closures may impact the availability of metered parking in some areas.
