Construction Updates:

Construction Update October 3, 2024 - Sonterra Road Extension (Sonterra Road to Loop 1604) 

Construction began on Monday, August 5 on a project to add lanes, curbs and a raised center median with lighting. Upon completion of the project there will also be shared-use paths for pedestrians, utility adjustments and drainage improvements. 

  • Construction started on Sonterra Road where it ends just before the Community Bible Church driveway.
  • Current Phase I Work: Roadway grading and site preparation is ongoing. Contractor has started installation of the proposed storm sewer system. Contractor completed SAWS water line relocation and tie-in.
  • Current Phase II & III Work: Roadway grading and site preparation is ongoing. 
  • Northern Community Bible Church driveway continues to be closed during Phase I construction. 
  • The Gold Canyon Driveway continues to be open.
