What you need to know

As part of Phase 1 of the project, Global Contractors, LLC is currently performing gas line improvements. On October 19, crews instituted a last-minute, necessary lane closure of one southbound lane on Wurzbach Road at the Gardendale Street intersection to safely accommodate urgent utility work. This phase of construction is expected to be completed by late October 2026.

Traffic Details:

  • Wurzbach Road Lane Closure: One southbound lane on Wurzbach Road at the Gardendale Street intersection is closed for utility work through late October.
  • Gardendale Street Closure: The eastbound travel lane on Gardendale Street (between Bluemel Street and Wurzbach Road) serves as an active construction zone and is completely closed to traffic.
  • The westbound lane on Gardendale Street remains open to accommodate two-way traffic flow at all times.
  • Parking is strictly prohibited along the entire project corridor.
  • Please obey all traffic signs, reduce your speed through the work zone, and expect minor travel delays.
  • See the map below for precise lane closure layouts.

Note: All scheduled work is subject to change and weather-permitting.
